You might be planning portraits for yourself, bringing your family together, or hoping to finally be in a photograph with the people you usually photograph. I'd like to hear what you have in mind. I photograph individuals and families in natural light around Charlotte and Lake Norman, and I'll help you plan around the people coming.

I know there can be a lot to organize before a family session.
I'm part of a blended family with four children, so I understand the effort involved in getting everyone dressed and out the door. Tell me a little about your family before we meet, including anyone who might need more time to feel comfortable.
I'll keep the direction simple and give your family time to settle in. If grandparents are joining or there's a particular photograph you've been wanting, I'd like to know that too.
My family portrait sessions start at $295. I’ll put together a quote around the people and photographs we’re planning for.

I'll help you plan portraits for yourself.
You don't need a graduation or a family occasion to have your portrait taken. You might need photographs for work, want to mark a change in your life, or simply want a photograph of yourself that you like. I'll ask where you plan to use the images and what you've liked in my work.
From there, we can talk about clothing and a setting where you'd feel comfortable. If being in front of the camera feels unfamiliar, I'll give you clear direction as we go. You won't be expected to arrive knowing how to pose.
My individual portrait sessions start at $250.

For a family session, I'll ask about the combinations you'd like, including photographs with the person who is usually holding the camera. For an individual portrait, we'll talk about the different looks or uses you have in mind. Because I work with natural light, we'll consider the setting and time of day together. I'll include the agreed details in your quote so you can decide whether the session is right for you.
